Long Time, No Talk

I was noticing that it had been awhile since I had posted anything. Even though I don't have any pictures, I thought I would just say a little bit about what's been going on.

Olivia is busy with school. I volunteered 1 day last week and got to meet all of her classmates. She has a wide range of kids and personalities in her class...very interesting. Olivia is what her teacher calls a "silent observer." She is pretty quiet, but you know she is paying attention and always thinking. Wish that were true at home! Her teacher is very nice and very good with the kids-God Bless her. I couldn't do what she does. We went to a Luau and Silent Auction at the school Friday night. It was their annual fund raiser and Gramma, Grandpa, and Grandma Shari all came. Olivia got to introduce them to her teacher and show them her classroom. She was so proud. It was pretty cute.

Miss Brooke is Miss Brooke. She is talking and communicating more and more. We are probably the only ones that know what she is saying, but oh well. She is the comedian of the family-likes to entertain.

Tanner is so busy with work it is insane. He tries to get bow hunting in at least one day on the weekend, but hasn't got anything. I swear he doesn't get anything on purpose, just so he can keep going out.

We went to MSU Homecoming Football game yesterday and had a blast. Mom watched the girls. Thanks Mom! We got to sit up in a corporate box. It was really nice, especially since it was 30 degrees and blowing snow, but I must say I would rather be outside and watch the game. The people "behind the glass" in the boxes are not really in our class if you know what I mean!

We have snow today. I tried our new vehicle out in the snow and it did awesome. I am very happy.

I do need to say congratulations to Josh and Jenny on their new baby girl, Perri, and to Jami and Robert on their new baby boy, Chase. And, congrats to our niece Teah on her baptism!

Meet Lucy

We are very excited to welcome a new member to our family - Lucy. She is my mom's new Scottish Terrier puppy. When Abby (my mom's last Scottie) past away in June, it left quite a void in our family, so we are very excited to welcome the little sweetie pie. She is 3 months, adorable and already has quite the personality. The girls love her and are more than excited when we get to babysit.

Checking out Maddie's Bed...

Brooke lovin' on her.

Little Stinker

Brooke has entered a very interesting stage. It can be fun, and down right challenging at the same time. She has picked up the infamous "What's that?" that her sister so fondly said as well and has an unending curiosity for EVERYTHING. Quiet is not good when Brooke is around~usually means she is up to no good. No, I wouldn't want her any other way, well except for maybe when I am ready to hang her up by her toes...and usually by that time she chooses to come running to me and bury her head in my leg, crying "Mama, Mama." Sigh...good thing she is cute.

She picks up a new word everyday. Today she said Brooke, tiger and (s)tinky (which she is). Like I said, it is an exciting time in her life, but (as she is screaming at me in the background) challenging.
This is what happens when she is quiet-
her face mysterously becomes covered in lipstick.

First Day of School

Yes, I know, it is only Pre-School, but still...Olivia started her first day of Preschool on Wednesday and absolutely loved it. I cried both when I dropped her off and picked her up. She was the only the kid that didn't cry when I left and just waved "bye mom!" That's my girl. Her teacher's name is Ms. Clark and she is very nice. Olivia is so excited and we are excited to give her a challenge. Next year will be twice as hard, I know! I still remember the day we found out we were expecting her, let alone the day she was born. Heck, I remember my first pre-school. Ok, I am going to quit, cuz the tears are coming.

First Camping Trip

We took the girls on their first camping trip this weekend with Tanner's family. We survived and actually had a great time besides being pretty cold at night. Note for next trip-more blankets! It was us, Barb and Alan, Nikki and Mike, Grandma Shari, Tamika and Miles, Teagan, Peyton, Walker and Fallon. We set up camp at the Crow Creek Lakes Trailhead on Friday afternoon and hiked up to the lakes on Saturday to go fishing. Saturday night we had a steak fry and came home Sunday afternon. We enjoyed great food-Barb and Shari are great cooks. And as always, the girls loved playing with their cousins.

Tanner teaching Olivia the finer points of fishing with her trusty Nemo pole! She unfortunately has her mother's patience when it comes to fishing-she has none!

The girls enjoying the creek.

Tanner taking his girls for a ride on the four wheeler. Can't tell they love their daddy, can you!

Teah and the Harris Girls

The girls' got to see all their cousins this weekend. Sunday, we went over and saw Teah. Brooke tried to push her in the swing while Olivia played "mom." Special thanks to Tyler and Holley for letting us invade their house while they were at the Wilsall Ranch Rodeo. Teah is sure a cutie!

Teah watching her cousins...wonder what she is thinking? Probably, man they are crazy.

Walker's Birthday Party

The girls' had a great time at their cousin Walker's 5th Birthday party at Grandma Shari's on Saturday. Plenty of bouncing, swimming, sliding, eating cake and whacking the pinata!

Teagan, Olivia and Peyton watch Brooke and Fallon in the "baby" pool.

The trampoline was a big hit.

Birthday Boy Walker.

Fallon lovin' the birthday cake!

Tanner's cousin Brandon, who is a cop in Towsend, stop by and gave Walker a great birthday present-a tour of the cop car! Pretty sure that was the present he liked the most-as you can see from his smile!
