San Fran Vacation

Since I have been traveling so much , I decided to take the family on a trip...to San Francisco. We left on April 5 and came home the 9th. Olivia loved the plane ride. (Somehow she doesn't remember when we went to Alaska on a plane-I guess she was only 6 months old.) Brooke was excited just to go somewhere. When we arrived in SF we quickly went to the hotel, unpacked and then ventured out to find a place to eat. Little did we know that we were in the foofoo district and every close spot was a bit too sphisticated for our liking. We finally found a Taco Bell. Talk about a night out on the town!

The next day, Dan from the magazine that I work with picked us up and took us around town. It was awesome. We went to the Presidio, the zoo (Olivia's ultimate favorite), the beach-where Olivia and I made a sand castle and the Golden Gate Bridge. Dan also took us across the bridge to some other Bay communities. A very busy, but exciting day.

The only way I was able to get Tanner to go to San Francisco was to promise a baseball game. On Monday, we headed to downtown SF to go shopping and then on to the game. It was the home opener for the SF Giants. Since it was the 50 year anniversary for the Giants, they had a parade of the players of the 58 team-including Willie Mays. The ballpark was very cool.

Tuesday was the day of my meeting so Tanner and the girls hung out at the hotel and took lots of naps. That night we went to the Pier, saw the Sea lions, Alcatraz and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp.

Wednesday we headed home. Olivia was such a trooper on the entire trip. Brooke was too, but was definitely out of her element and not herself. The plane ride home was a bit troubling for her as well. So please if you ever sit next to a baby on a plane-have mercy on the parents. I know I will from now on.
